New Volunteer Customer Service Training Program

HAMILTON, ON (May 27, 2025) New Customer Service Training Program Now Available For Volunteers!

Habitat for Humanity Hamilton is excited to announce its new Volunteer Customer Service Training Certificate Program! The program, launching this June, will be aimed at furthering the efforts of volunteers within its ReStore retail locations in Hamilton. This program provides individuals who would like to develop strong customer service skills with free training along with the opportunity to apply them in a customer-facing retail setting.  It’s perfect option for anyone looking to add to their resume by gaining new skills and experience, all while helping to advance Habitat for Humanity’s mission of building more affordable homes.  

We understand how difficult it can be to land a job with little or no experience.  By completing the program, participants will receive a customer service training certificate to demonstrate that they understand what it takes to deliver excellent customer service. This certificate may be a useful tool in future job searches, as it demonstrates that an individual has completed Habitat Hamilton’s customer service training modules and has successfully applied the lessons taught online through 40 hours of in-store volunteering.
