Canada Summer Jobs - Student Positions

The ReStore Associate will provide professional, friendly, accurate service in all procedures, working with customers on the floor. Tasks include, but are not limited to, accepting and processing donations, loading and unloading of trucks, working with volunteers and assisting customers, as needed. Additional responsibilities include organizing inventory, greeting customers, stocking shelves, and assisting the driver. This role works in conjunction with our Receiving Coordinator, Driver, other store associates, and volunteers.

Anticipated start date: June 1, 2026

The Retail Merchandiser will provide support to our Receiving Coordinator in the Hamilton ReStore with a professional, friendly, and safety-focused manner. Tasks include, but are not limited to, speaking with customers and donors, sorting donated product, perform quality checks on donated product and test products. Additional responsibilities include organizing inventory, greeting customers, stocking shelves, and assisting the driver. This role works in conjunction with our Receiving Coordinator, Driver, other store associates, and volunteers.

Anticipated start date: June 1, 2026

This position will be key to the delivery of safe, rewarding and engaging volunteering opportunities with Habitat Hamilton.  Our volunteer opportunities target members of our community and corporate fundraising teams.  The Volunteer Coordinator assistant will report to the Director of Affiliate Operations and work alongside our Volunteer Coordinator to ensure the successful delivery of volunteer opportunities at our ReStores and build projects.

Anticipated start date: May 4, 2026

This position will provide support to our Driver during pick-ups from individual and retail donors with a professional, friendly, and safety-focused manner. Tasks include, but are not limited to, loading and unloading donated items onto truck, assisting Driver with navigation, working with ReStore staff to process donations, working with volunteers and assisting customers, as needed. Additional responsibilities include organizing inventory, greeting customers, stocking shelves, and assisting the driver.

Construction Worker

The Construction Associate will work in the field and assist with the day-to-day operation of our construction site. They will assist with material procurement and delivery, participate in the day-to-day construction activities as directed, and help to organize, inspect, and maintain construction equipment. This role reports to our Building Services Manager but works along side our Construction Site Supervisor and Construction Lead Hand.
