HAMILTON, ON (May 29, 2023) It is with mixed emotions that we bid farewell to a remarkable individual who has been an invaluable asset to our organization. We would like to express our heartfelt appreciation and say thank you to Ken Lancaster, who has served as a dedicated member of the Habitat for Humanity Board of Directors for six great years.
Ken’s unwavering commitment, impressive knowledge, and many contributions as Treasurer have been a huge boost to our organization. His exceptional leadership and expertise have played a pivotal role in advancing our mission to build safe and affordable homes in Hamilton. Ken has consistently demonstrated a passion to addressing the challenges faced by our community, ensuring that Habitat for Humanity remains at the forefront of creating lasting change.
Beyond his role as Treasurer, Ken has been a steadfast advocate for our cause, tirelessly raising awareness and building partnerships. His efforts have brought hope and security to countless families, showcasing the transformative power of safe, decent, and affordable housing.
We are proud to announce that Ken’s journey with Habitat will continue, as he assumes a position on the national board with Habitat for Humanity Canada. This move speaks volumes about his exceptional leadership and expertise. We have no doubt that he will make a lasting impact at the national level, just as he has done here locally in Hamilton.
While we will miss Ken’s presence locally, we take pride in knowing that his influence will extend far beyond our community. We extend our sincerest congratulations and best wishes to Ken as he embarks on this new chapter of his journey.
