Burton Street Build Update

June 27- Our thanks to the volunteers over the last couple of weeks who helped get the windows set in place and completed the shingling. The opportunity to volunteer along side the skilled plumbers has proven to be a benefit as this portion of the project is nearing completion. Much of what has been accomplished is a reflection of not only all our volunteers but also the students of the Hamilton Wentworth District School Board and the Hamilton Wentworth Catholic District School Board. Check out our Volunteer Hub to see what opportunities exist.

Our Other Builds

Hamilton's Women in Law has been actively undertaking fundraising to make reality of homeownership possible for a Hamilton family.  Having reached over 50% of their target they will be starting the construction of their home this summer.  In the meantime they are active in the community sharing the inspiring story of what can be accomplished when a group of comes together.  Details of activities and progress can be found through their site ( WIL BUILD). They have also been on site undertaking some remedial work that needed to be accomplished.

NEW BUILD COMING - Plans are just being finalized for three single detached homes to commence construction later this summer on Wickham Ave, located off the beach strip. Stay tuned.

For volunteer opportunities both on our builds and in the ReStore please check our Volunteer Hub.

We are also accepting applications for  Team Builds.

The First Step to Being a Partner Family

We presently have a waiting list for partner families ( June 27, 2014) so until further notice we will not be having any information session.  Please contact if you do have any questions.

The first step is to attend a Partner Family information session if interested in getting an application..  Through these sessions you will learn about the guidelines for becoming a partner, and have the opportunity to discuss confidentially with our Family Services committee members about information you will need to supply to complete an application.

Our sessions are held monthly with the current opportunities posted in our New and Now section location on the upper left of this screen.

So if you want to explore the opportunities that can be made available by partnering with Habitat Hamilton take that first step and attend a Family Selection session.
