Building and Construction
We will be embarking on a large project this summer and looking for many hands in Hamilton. To apply as a volunteer you can fill out a volunteer application here.
Committee Work
We have a large variety of committees which require a mimimum commitment of 6 – 8 hours a month. Contact our Volunteer Coordinator to find the best fit for you.
- Currently we have openings for volunteers with expertise in construction to help with our ambitious multi-unit project in the Keith Neighborhood of Hamilton.
- There is also a need for 3 board members to serve on our Board of Directors with experience in legal issues, construction and special events.
ReStore-Volunteer Now
Come join us behind the scenes in our day to day operations of the ReStore where proceeds go towards funding the administration of HFHH and our builds.
We are currently looking for:
- Fixit Shop: check donated items and do any necessary repairs, set up displays
- Kitchen Recycling: These volunteers go into homes where the homeowner is renovating and carefully remove items, usually the kitchen, which is then sold in the ReStore.
- Store Float: Merchandising, tidy shelves, keep the store presentable, help customers.
Other Volunteer Opportunities
- Office Administration — Filing, research, organizing, data entry.
- Photography — Photograph fundraising and other Habitat Hamilton events.
Please note that all volunteers must be 16 years of age or older.
